| Why this mission? We believe increasing speaking events can impact all of Canada. Making more creationists is only the beginning. The follow-on effect of teaching biblical creation is that it provides a template for teaching the rest of Scripture. The template is: begin your thinking with God’s Word regarding creation, the age of the earth and a global flood, then examine the scientific observations. The sequence is critical. | When beginning with the biblical creation account it leads people directly into conflict with the popular teaching of evolution over millions of years—a challenge to the Bible’s accuracy. However, as event attendees absorb CMI content through the speaker and other CMI resources they begin to realize, with great enthusiasm, that the Bible makes sense of the scientific observations. Science matches Scripture! This builds and strengthens faith, drawing people into a closer walk with Jesus. If this template (i.e. use a high view of Scripture to understand the world and everything in it) is applied to all other areas of life, the impact on the Canadian church and eventually Canadian culture will be dramatic. |

This is a big deal! Think of the future generation. Today, young people are inundated with evolutionists ideas, causing many to grow up thinking and believing that the Bible is at odds with ‘the real world’—that science contradicts the Bible. No wonder many young people find it difficult to trust the Bible and find themselves leaving the church. That is why it is so important to have a CMI speaker come share that the Bible can be trusted from the very first verse, showing how scientific discoveries fit with the biblical creation account. CMI speaking events help to strenghten the faith of congregations all around Canada, so young and old can confidently defend their faith. |
